I was looking up the details on a particular workout and managed to find a page with scrambled images. I wonder how these files got corrupt and how no one noticed. It's amazingly awesome.

I dunno if you remember the Wii ad campaign I did as a student or not (it's in the Advertising section of www.caseyweeks.com), but this is how it was originally planned. I brought the failed photo edits to class and looked all down trodden that I had messed up what had started as a good idea. The professors noticed a few cards I had made for a pop display that had one of the scenes illustrated and said, "This should be your ad".

But out of context, these photos are pretty dang hilarious.

For awhile at my last job I would go for an orange snack. But before I could eat it, I had to draw a face on it. The first image contains the orange drawn by a coworker that set the trend. This is how you pass your time at work.

Excitotoxicity is the pathological process by which nerve cells are damaged and killed by glutamate and similar substances.

Intermittent fasting has shown reduced serum glucose and insulin levels and increased resistance of neurons in the brain to excitotoxic stress.

There is some evidence that intermittent fasting may have beneficial effects on the health and longevity of animals—including humans—that are similar to the effects of caloric restriction (CR).

Calorie restriction, or caloric restriction (CR), is a dietary regimen that restricts calorie intake, where the baseline for the restriction varies, usually being the previous, unrestricted, intake of the subjects. CR, when not associated with malnutrition, has been shown to improve age-related health and to slow the aging process in a wide range of animals and some fungi.

"increased resistance of neurons in the brain to excitotoxic stress" - nice

I feel like if you try to remember me as who I was a year ago, you're remembering someone who doesn't exist anymore, he is just some strange variation of the man you know today.

I keep forgetting to post photos.

However, I just got back from a week long trip to the Northeast for my brothers wedding. It was more like a week long party. It was epicccccccc. Now I feel the need to go get married just to out-do his wedding.

I also got some sort of night confusion and got in a fight with a wall. Couldn't stop laughing for 30 minutes after I woke up.

Anyway, there's about 800 photos to sort through so it'll be awhile before I get some up on the nets. That aside, I'm gonna dump some photos I been meaning to post for awhile now.

Sometimes you just can't get enough light to take a good photo at a party. So why not take the blurry ones and shove them together. Why not bring out the inner demons of your subjects?

You see some pretty awesome junctions when you're out traveling around Texas.

Just tried mountain biking in Grapevine yesterday. That shit was so damn hard. Beginner doin expert level trails. Took some video of it, but you get no sense of depth. For example, a cliff that looked like it could easily kill me looked like a kitten. I'll see if I can edit out some snippets sometime in the near future.

TOMRROW IS BIKE TO WORK DAY. Testing the pathway later today after I eat some fathers day food with my fathers day dad.

How to drag songs from Finder to iTunes and keep the track order intact:
1. Click the first track
2. Shift click the last track
3. Drag (from the FIRST track) the tracks to the iTunes playlist.
4. If the track listing is in reverse order, click the arrow pointing up or down above the track number listing

No one has yet to look at the following photos very long, but the reward for staring at a silhouette photo longer is always.....uhhh.... rewarding:

So at one point I noticed my heat guage going too high so we stopped at a gas station for 30-45 minutes to wait for it to cool down. The folk were nice and offered a hose. Asked if the subject of these photos was my sister. Kinda awkward....

Don't look at the camera or else this will happen to you:

Turned out the wait was for nothing, the car broke down about 20 min down the highway.

Like I've said before, there's something visceral about being out in the middle of nowhere. But sometimes you come across emergency access roads like this that are covered in 6inches of tree droppings.

View of the canopy.

This guy was hanging out right in the middle of the trail. We weren't sure if he was stuck or something so I nudged him with a stick just to be sure. He looked really annoyed at all the mosquitos hanging out around his head.

Went backpacking at Sabine National Forest recently. It's pretty amazing being out there in the middle of nowhere with nothing around as the sun goes down and your trusty fellow backpackers and tents at your side. And there's nothing quite as amazing as the motorboat on the nearby lake that manages to force its way into the silence.

Also, when walking around at night, the ground was alive with all sorts of insects I've never seen before. Maybe I should've taken pictures.

Okay, so we weren't EXACTLY out in the middle of nowhere. The plan was to hike 20 miles in three days by parking one car at the end and then driving another car to the beginning and hiking to the car at the end. BUT, my car decided to break down on the way (only cost $400 to fix plus 7 hours of my time to go get it). So we didn't get to the forest until it was too late to start backpacking so we did some tent camping. Then, with no car at the end, we found ourselves hiking 5 miles in and then 5 miles out. Still great. But what's next.

One of the guys(Zack) has a badass hammock tent.

Hey! I just found out how to get on the internets.

What do you think of that rapidly multiplying drive-in girl?

You say you'll destroy us all if I don't turn you into a wallpaper? Okay, Fine.

What do you think of that mister guy in a car? Does it make you smile?

Okay, Fine.
